I am so happy to get this show on the road! The pessary is in! (Which by the way was a hideous experience and I really didn't mentally prepare myself for pain!!). Apparently I've had tightenings, not that I felt them 🤦‍♀️. I assume I've had no contractions yet unless I'm a lot more tolerant to pain than I thought 🤷‍♀️ . . @stormygouldo and I are trying to keep everyone updated but please understand to message you all individually with my/our updates is unrealistic. Sooooo, I did start getting videos together for the last 2 weeks of pregnancy, but then my body thought nahhhhh. Let's spice things up with kidney stones! . So I'm currently on day 3 of being in hospital, hoping they've passed through now! . This is now the 3rd time I've experienced this however I have learnt it's much more complicated to deal with the pain if you're 33 weeks pregnant! And before anyone says "you need to drink more water".... I drink plenty so don't even go there ✋. . Any hoo! This week marks 1 year until Tokyo Olympics and the first week of Nyla's life outside the womb. I didn't take the news of pregnancy well, didn't take to pregnancy well, and whilst I don't yet feel 'motherly', I very much feel like her protector and would do anything for her. . . 🤱. I'm surprised with just how much I'm distracted by her, and she's literally doing nothing most of the time. I'm also surprised with how much she makes me smile- I'm not much of a smiler . . . 🇯🇵. Something I did hope for and kind of expect, was what a source of inspiration she would be to get back in shape and make her proud of me by getting to my second Olympic Games. The thought of having her and @stormygouldo in Tokyo with me next year is crazy powerful and by far, my biggest motivator. I haven't done any 'training' yet to get back to fitness, but I am definitely recovering and starting to get my body back. Take 2 . THIS is now the last weekend I'll be pregnant! . After making us wait 7hrs on the delivery ward, then to turn around and tell us to come back in 2 weeks, we're now just 2 days away! The good news is on Monday, she'll be 37 weeks. This sums up my experience, thank God it's nearly over!! Hats off to all those women who go full term AND over due!!!! This is my last Friday appointment for infection checks, been doing it twice a week every week for the last 10 weeks! .. . 🤰Something definitely still isn't right with the stabbing pain in the side of my stomach, hoping if nothing is found today, it disappears after labour or they can investigate it properly as a non pregnant person. .. . 🤰I'm trying to remain confident about the impending pain that is childbirth but the truth is, I'm ing myself lol. My logical brain tells me that women have been doing this since the beginning of time with a lot less pain killing options and a lot less technology that we have today. So I really need to just get on with it. But the fear of the unknown I think is what's getting me (or the known part of it's going to hurt like hell ). .. . 🤰 As it's #SelfConfidenceFriday, I must remember my body is made for this and all will be fine! Take the drugs if it all gets too much! I am 33 weeks pregnant today and am now only looking at 200m to go until the end...! Or 2 weeks in non athletic terms . 1st July is the day I'm set to be induced . . Her dad lands at 6.30am from Australia, I ring the hospital at 9am and we go from there! All a bit scary really. I think I'd like to document these final weeks and put it on my YouTube channel. Thoughts, feelings, what I'm up to. That sort of thing. Also think it would be good to include questions from people (you lot) so I'm not just rambling on about god knows what. What do you think? Maybe post some questions on here to give me a starting point? Also I'll probably ask on my story too. . I am now 20kgs heavier than when I started this journey! I also have found stretch marks .
